Square mode uses the shorter side, crops the longer side equally from both ends, then resizes to the exact selected dimensions. HEIC/HEIF is decoded locally and saved as JPG when keeping the format. Transparent pixels use the selected background when converting to JPG.

    How to use this tool

    1. Choose or drop one or more images.
    2. Keep the aspect ratio or choose center-crop square.
    3. Set the exact square size or longest edge, quality and format.
    4. Process the batch and download files individually or as one ZIP.

    Supported input and output

Input: JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP and Apple HEIC/HEIF. Output: JPG, PNG or WebP; HEIC/HEIF becomes JPG when keeping format.

    Large-file guidance

Available memory depends on your device and browser. Close other tabs before processing a large document, keep the device awake, and test the downloaded result before deleting the original.

    Known limitations

    • PNG may become larger when its dimensions are unchanged.
    • Converting transparency to JPG requires a solid background.
    • HEIC/HEIF decoding needs additional browser memory; very large photos are best processed in smaller batches.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my images uploaded?

No. Image bytes are decoded and encoded in this browser tab.

    Why is a result larger?

Lossless PNG and format conversion can add bytes. Keep the original when the result is not useful.
